Room for Talent: Changing Perspectives on Gifted Education

Developments in modern society move forward fast. To keep up with global challenges, like climate change and a growing world population, we need to improve ourselves. We need to improve our educational systems. We need to train teachers, psychologists and caregivers to recognize and nurture our most talented, highly able children and adults. For a brighter future and a better world.

How do we do that?

During the joint conference “Room for Talent: Changing Perspectives on Gifted Education”, experts from the Netherlands and Hong Kong come together, to share their insights in how we could create room for highly able children and adults to develop their talents. With this Asian-European cooperation, we challenge you to change perspectives in accepted views on giftedness.

Radboud International Training on High Ability (RITHA), Radboud University

For over 25 years, the Radboud University is providing post academic education for behavioural scientists. By combining (scientific) knowledge and practical experience, we created a powerful and inspiring learning environment. We are able to do this by working closely together with more than two hundred practice-based organizations (like hospitals and schools) and experienced and enthusiastic international lecturers from both the professional field and the scientific community. The Radboud International Training on High Ability (RITHA) is one of the post-initial training programmes for professionals with a background in social sciences or education. With RITHA, Radboud University aims to increase the knowledge and experience of those who identify, educate and counsel gifted students in primary, secondary and higher education all over the world. We believe that well-trained ECHA specialists in Gifted Education can make a valuable contribution to improve education for all students, including those who are most talented.
